iPhone/iPad Multitasking

Written by Brandon on April 19th, 2010 | 0 Comments

So if you haven’t already heard, back on April 8th, Apple announced the release of the iPhone OS 4.0. This will be out for iPhones and iPod Touches in June, and for iPads sometime around October.
If you want to watch the entire keynote (over an hour long) then click here.
If you want to read a blogged version from people at the event, click here.
Or simply check out the features on Apple’s site.

The main focus of this version is Multitasking. Back when the iPhone was released, and more recently the iPad everyone was making fun of it for not having multitasking. If you pick up and use one of these devices, you will quickly see that multitasking is no big deal. Why do you need to open a news app and your twitter client at once? You cant read the news and write to twitter at the same time! Yes, background audio as they highlighted is a good idea. Other than that, i don’t like the fact that everything stays opened all the time.
The current developer versions of 4.0 are extremely buggy, but I’m sure things will be ironed out by the June 22nd release.
What do you guys think about Multitasking? Absolutely needed, or something you can live without?
I think it will be good if there is a system setting to completely disable it if we want to use our phone as it always has been…that way we can save CPU clock cycles and ram.

Really cheap Hostgator Web Hosting

Written by Brandon on February 6th, 2010 | 0 Comments

I already started my other post about how I make money through Twitter and decided to make this quick post.

Hostgator is a webhost that hosts over 2.5 million domains.

Their Baby Plan seems to be the best deal, as it allows more than one domain and is unlimited everything. Paying an extra $5 a month for the Business plan which gives you a support phone number just does not seem worth it.

A 6 month Baby plan will run you $59.75 USD.
But! Why would I be writing this blog post if you had to pay full price?
Simply use the code GOONMONTH for an instant $25 off.

Follow the steps below:
1. Visit Hostgator by clicking here

2. Click on Web Hosting

Backupify – Secure your online life – Free offer extended!

Written by Brandon on February 4th, 2010 | 0 Comments

How often do you backup your emails? How about your blog posts? Your Twitter and Facebook account?

If you answered never, or almost never then what happens if something was to happen? What if your Flickr account gets deleted, GMail suffers a mass deletion, or Facebook gets hacked?

Suffering a huge data loss is not fun..but neither is manually backing everything up!

Backupify

Thankfully, Backupify makes this all automated. And the best part? All accounts made before February 15th are free forever!. I think there will be a monthly fee or something, but get in early to avoid it!
Even if you do not plan on using the account now, why not just make it anyways incase down the road you will?

I have it setup for my email, Twitter and Wordpress database

It supports many services, give it a try and leave a comment about how you like it. If you have used any other backup service, let me know!
