The reason for this is because it creates interesting discussion and shows that you are open to new ideas. The commentors will keep returning to see if there are any replies and to continue the discussion.

With your blog posts, don’t just end, always try to ask something that will make the readers want to answer. For example, if you cover a specific topic, ask for the readers opinion!

So here is my question to you: Do you want to see short, somewhat useful tips such as this one posted every so often?
